Busiika Muslim Secondary School successfully organised an exciting and educational trip to Rwenzori Mountain National Park, giving students a rare opportunity to experience one of Uganda’s most iconic natural treasures.
In the photo above, our learners proudly pose at the entrance of the park, full of energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Dressed in their vibrant school uniforms, the students represented the Busiika Muslim SS spirit of discipline, unity, and confidence throughout the journey.
The purpose of the trip was not only to expose students to Uganda’s rich natural environment but also to equip them with practical knowledge beyond the classroom. The learners explored the park’s beautiful landscapes, interacted with trained guides, and learned about:
- The history and significance of the Rwenzori Mountain range
- Uganda’s wildlife conservation efforts
- The importance of environmental protection and climate awareness
- Tourism is a key sector in the country’s development
The trip also strengthened students’ social bonds, teamwork, and leadership skills. Many expressed excitement as they experienced the cool mountain climate, the lush forest scenery, and the vibrant cultural atmosphere of the Kasese district.
